Deshi:  In this day and age, what use does the Martial Way serve?

Sensei:  The same it has always served.

Deshi:  How can that be?

Sensei:  It can be because that which it addresses is infinite, as infinite as we are in our connection to it.

Deshi:  Is this then not about fighting?

Sensei:  No, it is not.

Deshi:  Is this then about spiritual matters?

Sensei:  No, it is not.

Deshi:  Shall I then make no question - make no divisions between the two?

Sensei:  Yes, that is so.

Deshi:  Well, then what is there left to say?

Sensei:  Exactly.

Deshi:  Have we then been served well by this Way?

Sensei:  As Man always has - perfectly.
