Deshi:  Sensei, are you Awakened?

Sensei:  What does that mean?

Deshi:  Have you ever had an ultimate experience, a religious experience, an Enlightenment experience?

Sensei:  I have never had any vision that has prompted me to believe I have achieved anything special; I have never had any realization that told me I have reached the end of my training; I have never had any kind of breakthrough that had me hold that I have no more breakthroughs to make.  No, I am not Awakened.  All there is before me is this daily practice.

Deshi:  That is Awakening.

Sensei:  Not for you it is not.
