Important and not Important
Deshi: Sensei, when you engage yourself, it is with such determination. I have seen others simply cower and turn away from their goals and agenda simply under the weight of your determination alone. Others, I have seen them remain steadfast, even strike you, but only to have their blows bounce off of you. Your actions are single-minded even in the chaos of violence. How can that be so? Sensei: What I care about is important, and what is important I care about. All else is not of my concern. Deshi: It has been written by one author that a warrior should act with so much determination that should his head be cut off in battle, that he would still have enough direction to slay one more foe before his body fell. Is this what you are speaking about? Sensei: I do not know - that is a question for someone that holds his or her own death as important. |
